Math major. Real-estate CEO.
Mom of two. Anti-diet teacher.

I didn't come to this from a nutrition certificate. My degree is in mathematics, and my day job is running a multi-million-dollar real-estate brokerage. My husband runs his own real-estate firm too — competitive household, lovely chaos.

I've been at war with my body since I was a teenager. If I gathered up every pound I've gained, lost, and gained again, I could build a whole new person. I read every diet book. I tried every plan. None of them stuck — because none of them were honest about what naturally thin people actually do.

So I went and asked. More than 1,000 women who'd been thin their entire lives without dieting. I cornered strangers at the gym. I interviewed friends and friends of friends. The same five things kept showing up. None of them counted calories. None of them meal-prepped. None of them owned a single diet book.
